Job Description
Concorde Education is currently looking for a part-time Coding Teacher to join their team. Under the supervision of the Director of Educational Development, the Coding Teacher will plan and facilitate coding instructional sessions using a variety of coding languages, robotics, and educational tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing students’ computer science and coding skills while fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Meet regularly with the Director of Educational Development to align instructional goals.
- Plan and lead coding and robotics learning sessions for students.
- Assist students in developing essential computer science and coding skills.
- Maintain open and consistent communication with the Director of Educational Development.
- Model appropriate academic and social behaviors for students.
- Collect and analyze data to inform future instruction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience, especially in coding or computer science.
- Proficiency in coding languages such as Scratch, Blockly, Swift, and Python.
- Experience with instructing students to control robotics (e.g., Ozobot, Sphero, drones) using coding languages.
- Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds, academic profiles, and skill levels.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, applying critical thinking to adapt instruction based on student needs.
Coding Teacher Salary & Benefits
- Salary: $85 – $105 /hour
