Job Description
As a Team Manager, you will support and manage a sales team within a specified cluster. Your role is to guide the team to success, stay commercially aware of market trends, and ensure the delivery of targets.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Sales Account Managers to achieve area targets.
- Set monthly targets for Sales Account Managers focused on existing business.
- Monitor team performance and motivate them to achieve team and individual targets.
- Track and maintain records of team sales, payments, and account reviews.
- Participate in hiring for the team/area according to profile needs.
- Train team members on sales techniques, product knowledge, upsell, and cross-sell strategies.
- Provide feedback to marketing, operations, and tech teams for product enhancement.
- Collect customer feedback and market research, channeling it internally for effective follow-ups.
- Verify agency data/numbers in the area to analyze growth opportunities and recruiting needs.
- Expand the customer base through effective team management and allocation of new agencies.
- Track agency pools and verified agency data in the area.
- Stay updated with competitor products and packages.
- Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge to engage meaningfully with prospects.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Valid UAE driver’s license.
- Minimum of 6 years sales experience and 2 years people management experience.
- In-depth understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market, and assigned account needs.
- Strong knowledge of the local market.
- Strong knowledge of sales processes, with competence in challenging sales scenarios.
- Expert level of objection handling tactics and ability to identify real objections.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Hands-on attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive approach to finding solutions.
- People-oriented.
