Security Guard Job Description
Position: Security Guard
The Security Guard is responsible for safely and efficiently protecting all company assets at the assigned location.
Security Guard Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Yard Manager with loading and unloading of supplies/equipment.
- Perform housekeeping activities, including washing, chipping, painting, weeding, mowing, and taking inventory.
- Conduct simple maintenance and repairs to the location and assets.
- Perform other general duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to wear respiratory protective devices.
- Ability to successfully complete floorhand training at the Nabors Training Center.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the location.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months of experience as a Floorhand.
- Attention span to stay alert and attentive for up to a 12-hour tour while performing repetitive and monotonous tasks.
- Able to work 14 days on and 14 days off, including holidays, weekends, days, or nights, and able to live with others in close confines.
- Able to receive verbal and written instructions.
- Maintain good footing while standing and walking for a minimum of 4 hours, including on steel decking, grating, or wet decks.
- Repetitively lift and carry items weighing up to 60 lbs up and down stairs and/or distances up to 150 feet.
- Exert a push or pull force of up to 120 lbs while holding the tag lines of equipment and pipe during loading and offloading.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl throughout the working shift while wearing Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
