HSE Officer Responsibilities:
- Support the Sr. HSE Officer and HSE Manager in implementing HSE programs and strategies.
- Coordinate with Terminal HSE staff on HSE issues and ensure timely HSE support.
- Develop and implement loss prevention strategies and HSE management systems.
- Organize internal audits, site inspections, risk assessments, and safety training.
- Assist in incident investigations using the SCAT technique and follow up on corrective actions.
- Liaise with local authorities on HSE matters and maintain documentation.
- Prepare and submit reports on KPI performance, business plans, and critical action plans.
- Identify workplace hazards and recommend controls and protective equipment.
- Maintain and update HSE documents and ISO systems.
- Support incident investigations and join teams for major accidents/emergencies.
HSE Officer Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma, preferably in Tertiary education.
- Post Diploma in Industrial Safety with five years of experience as a Safety Engineer in the oil/chemical industry.
- Good basic computer skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent behavioral skills.
