Warehouse Worker Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manually pick products off shelves to fill orders.
- Transport in-progress orders to the location of the next item on the order list.
- Scan products using Radio Frequency (RF) units.
- Fill boxes with packaging materials to avoid order damage.
- Follow safety procedures for equipment used to reduce the potential for accidents.
- Count product quantities to fill orders and transport picked orders to packing stations.
- Build appropriate boxes based on order, weight, and size.
- Label boxes with barcodes for product and order tracking.
- Review manifests, invoices, and orders to ensure accurate orders.
- Examine products to ensure damaged products are not shipped.
- Lift products to place them on pallets and understand quota requirements to accomplish required production levels.
Warehouse Worker Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse environment experience.
- Must be able to lift to 40 lbs.
- Remain standing for an extended period of up to 4 hours.
- Able to perform with the constant movement of the arms.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of techniques for maximizing the effective distribution of goods.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods, including the relative costs and benefits.
- Skills in attention to detail, problem-solving, logical reasoning, and time management.
