Rig Operator Job Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the following duties as a Rig Operator at Alemtiaz Alkuvaiti Logistics Services Co.:
- Managing and controlling the machinery and equipment of a drilling rig to drill holes for oil and gas extraction.
- Continually inspect drilling operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the process runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on drilling equipment to ensure that it remains in good working condition and prevents breakdowns.
- Following all safety protocols and procedures, practicing safety practices, and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect the crew and environment.
- Overseeing the activities of the rig crew, providing training and guidance, and ensuring that tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Management of preparation, handling, and disposal of drilling fluids (mud), including mixing of chemicals and testing of fluid properties.
- Reading and interpreting data from various sensors and instruments to monitor well conditions and make informed decisions during drilling.
- Maintain lines of communication with supervisors and other key personnel to report progress, issues and any necessary changes to the drilling plan.
- Be prepared to respond to emergencies, such as explosions, equipment failure, or other hazardous situations, by following established emergency procedures.
- Maintains accurate records of drilling activities, equipment usage, maintenance performed and incidents and submits reports as required.
