Job Description
The JAM Talent is currently looking for a Lead Robotics Engineer to join an innovative robotics and drone startup. This role will involve working on complex projects that cover software interfaces, operating systems, algorithm development, simulation, and optimization. You will be responsible for advancing autonomous systems to navigate reliably in challenging environments, pushing the limits of what is possible in robotics technology.
Responsibilities:
- Develop navigation algorithms for small platforms, focusing on GPS-denied environments.
- Lead software development for mobile and embedded platforms such as NVIDIA XavierNX, Qualcomm Snapdragon, or Intel Neural Compute Stick.
- Translate complex navigation challenges to embedded/edge environments.
- Collaborate on the development of high-performance robotic systems designed for defense and public safety industries.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in C/C++, focusing on planning and navigation.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Robotics, Software Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in developing navigation algorithms for small uncrewed platforms.
- Experience with real-time, critical software development.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Familiarity with ROS/2, PX4, or simulation platforms like Gazebo, Airsim, or ISAAC is a plus.
- Python programming experience and active security clearance are bonuses but not mandatory.
