Lead Web Engineer Responsibilities:
- Develop enterprise-level WordPress plugins and/or themes using PHP and Gutenberg blocks in React.js.
- Drive strategy in collaboration with experts across multiple disciplines and lead the overall technical vision and delivery of large-scale projects.
- Engage meaningfully with clients, leading demos, and driving discussions.
- Contribute to the improvement of the Engineering discipline by leading and mentoring other engineers.
- Make the web better by finely crafting websites, apps, and tools that reach millions of online visitors every day.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience leading large-scale enterprise projects and leading a team of senior engineers.
- Expertise in building headless JavaScript projects with WordPress.
- Proficiency in WordPress engineering with PHP, React.js, and Gutenberg.
- A code portfolio showcasing your best WordPress work on GitHub.
- Ability to debug performance and caching issues across environments.
- Preference for fully remote work and effective engagement in a distributed team.
