Account Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies and directions for accounts within remit.
  • Identify and evaluate segment-related opportunities.
  • Execute strategic account development plans.
  • Establish and develop long-term relationships with key customers.
  • Lead the RFP process for corporate clients and negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms.
  • Manage the meeting RFP process and ensure proper procedures.
  • Strengthen relationships with key hotels and align strategies.
  • Manage cross-functional links to other teams, departments, and functions.
  • Attend relevant industry conferences and events.
  • Direct and implement proper controls and systems.
  • Assess actual performance and take corrective actions.
  • Provide accurate management reports to review account performance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Significant work experience in customer-facing, revenue-generating roles within the Business Travel segment, especially in Qatar.
  • Experience working in multicultural or international settings.
  • Fluency in English, preferably in Arabic too.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce.
  • Flexibility to travel.
  • Excellent communication skills: presentations, written, and public speaking.
  • Good understanding of sales processes, tools, measurements, and systems.
  • Strong in account management with good relationship management skills.
  • Strong persuading and influencing skills.
  • Ability to analyze account performance data to make strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Demonstrates the highest standards of ethical behaviour and discretion with sensitive information.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a systematic approach to getting things done.
