First Deck Officer Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily stability calculations.
• Maintain all tank, cofferdam, and void spaces.
• Manage and keep official ship certificates.
• Enhance work safety on board alongside the Master.
• Conduct continual training on personnel safety work procedures.
• Prepare planned navigation approaches for the Master’s approval.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Fluent in oral and written English; additional languages are a plus.
• Certificate of Competency IMO STCW Cap II/2.
• Meet Flag State health and physical requirements.
• Extensive successful experience in a similar position with another cruise line.
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based programs.
• Strong supervisory skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, written communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with authority, diplomacy, and impartiality.
• Recognized medical certification is required before starting onboard.
• USA VISA if applicable.
